Our Commitment

At Orage, we don't think we're going to change the world and save mother earth on our own. Actually, we're just skiers, looking to do our part to help keep the winters cold and the planet as clean and green as it was when we came into it. We haven't neutralized our carbon footprint yet, but we're working to do what we can to make sure we can produce top notch product with as small an environmental footprint as possible.

Responsible Global Sourcing

We work closely with our manufacturers to ensure that all of our products are produced in a Bluesign certified environment. Being Bluesign certified means that Orage products are produced in a safe, healthy environment for our factory workers and for the end consumer. We take pride in knowing that our factories practice fair labor, and our products are made with safe, sustainable fabrics.

Environmentally Friendly Fabrics

Our Fundation line of baselayers offers products that are made 100% from recycled plastics. The Maikel, Marvin, Maria and Malena pieces are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. It takes roughly 48 empty plastic bottles to produce each piece. Aside from being 100% recycled, these baselayers will keep you warm and dry all day long. We’ve even recycled old fabrics from our outerwear to make the one-of-a-kind, reusable packaging. It is perfect for use as a goggle holder, glove pouch, or just a place to stash your on-hill essentials.

Responsible Logistics

We recently relocated our warehouse from Burlington, VT to Seattle, WA in order to cut down on excessive cross-country shipping. By making this move, we’ve effectively saved over 1.2 million cubic meters of Carbon Dioxide from entering the atmosphere each year.

Our Offices

We are always engaged with new ways to preserve the environment in which we live and play. From taking small steps in our offices such as offering safe disposal for batteries and using 100% recycled paper products, to leading hands-on initiatives like cleaning up our local parks and community, to supporting a sustainable supply chain, we've taken a 360 degree approach to incorporating an environmentally friendly atmosphere into our workplace.
